TeddyBear

Tinka and Teddy Bear, affectionately referred to as Tink, Skittamerink, Tinkabell, Ted, Bear, Theodore, or Little Sir,  joined our family in April, 2015.   Two dogs couldn't be more opposite in looks and personality, but how well they compliment each other!    Despite being so close to the ground, Teddy tries his best to keep up with Tinka, who has the grace of a deer and runs like the wind.    They love best to crash on what they view as the most luxurious accommodations in the house and perfect the art of napping.    It is little wonder that they have wormed their way into our hearts.  Having been fostered together, it just seemed right to keep them together.    It's a good thing Mom is retired, as she would have a hard time leaving them every day... Nothing like cozying up with these two and a good book on a blustery afternoon!

A little advice for potential adopters... Your new family member will need some time for their true personalities to emerge and for them to trust.   Your efforts,  patience, and consistency will be well-rewarded!

Twain

Ollie came to us in September 16th 2014 and we couldn't be more happy. Ollie adjust quickly with the help of his fur brother Kooper. The two became fast friends. Ollie went through training and received his Canine Good Citizens award! We are so proud of him and couldn't imagine life without this sweet, loving goofball. We feel we hit the puppy rescue lottery!

Adopted October 2015

Feliz

Joe and I adopted Feliz on March 31, 2014. We soon re-named him "Ace" due to his big heart and big personality, and often call him "The Ace Face" or "The Little Guy" or "Doodles" (for Dude). He was named "Best Foster Ever" by his foster family and I would have to agree! Ace loves to burrow and snuggle. Our nightly routine includes me knitting with Ace curled up on my lap under a blanket. He would snuggle right up to his big sister Zuzu, but she's a bit stuck up. She was a rescue from another organization in 2009. She has finally begun at times to play with Ace. Of course, if other dogs are around or when they hear passersby outside they become quite the team. Ace has learned all the same "tricks for treats" as Zuzu and they perform in tandem. At the dog park, Ace chooses to play tag with the biggest dogs! Then there are times we wonder if he is actually half cat when he rubs his body against things and sits on the back of the couch in the sun.

We love this little guy. Thanks Ruff Start
