Linden

Name: Linden
DOB: 8/23/20
Weight: 27lbs
Adoption Fee: 450.00

Linden has a sad story that has changed her life. She lived on the streets with her mom, who was very much pregnant. One day they found themselves in the middle of a busy shopping area and her mom went into labor. Her mom was immediately scooped up and taken to a rescue and poor Linden was all alone. She was in not-so-great medical condition. Covered in mange, skinny and terrified...she hid. One of the volunteers was able to get a leash around her, and off to the emergency vet she went. There sweet Linden spent several weeks getting better. Medications and baths, and lots of love made her stronger every day.

Now the time has come for her to learn how kind and caring humans can be. In her foster home she is learning that most cats don’t want to play with her, that the leash isn’t scary (this one is a process) and that humans set rules that should be broken (like no dogs on the bed). She is as sweet as can be but is timid. Linden is working on learning that things aren’t as scary as they seem.  She has learned quickly that all the delicious things come out of the metal box and that puppy dog eyes go a long way. She loves to cuddle and will make a great companion. She will climb and concur her Everest (stairs) as long as there a piece of turkey waiting at the top.

Overall, Linden has a sweet disposition and loves to play or relax in the grass. She seems curious about new people but did raise her hair and yip a couple times when she saw a toddler in the park. She is content to spend time in the kennel and her fosters are working on tackling potty training.

Linden loves to play with her furry foster siblings and will require another dog in the home to help her gain confidence and learn the ropes of being a dog.  Due to her past of being a stray and being scared, Linden will also require a fenced in yard to keep her safe.  She would also do best with no kids or much older very respectful kids. She will need a very patient family that will give her the time she needs to let her personality shine and to learn all the new things. She deserves an amazing life. Don’t they all?

*The breed of a shelter puppy is often times a guess based on what traits the dog presents when they are brought into the shelter. We cannot guarantee the breed or size they will be full grown.*
