Fredrick's Sponsorship Page

Name: Fredrick
DOB: 6/15/2019
Weight: 4lbs
Adoption Fee: $150

My foster mom has found that I really need a sibling to play with. I was adopted out to a family that had another adult kitty. But turns out she did not want to play with me, and I got board. A board kitty tends to make mischief. I am a busy boy, who enjoys having both feline and human interaction and companionship.  I currently live with 2 other foster kittens who I love and adore, if you would be interested in adopting one of them with me.
If not, I NEED another playmate. My behavior has been 100% better having a few friends around to play with it.
PS I am a huge lovebug!

Hi there, My name is Fredrick, but my foster mom calls me Fred. If you know anything about the Nature Cats show, I am named after Nature Cat. My indoor house cat name is Fred, while my friends call me Nature Cat!

My Foster Mom says I am such a sweet little boy. I purr like crazy and LOVE to be loved on. I talk to you when I am hungry, and just sometimes to say Hi in passing. I love to be kissed, over and over and told how handsome I am :)

A little about my my background,  My siblings and I were found in a garage when we were about 2 weeks old, without our mom and were turned over to a vet, who found us a home with Ruff Start Rescue, and a foster mom who could bottle feed us around the clock.

We highly encourage adopting kittens in pairs for their emotional and behavioral well-being.  It is an amazing experience to watch the lifelong bond that forms and that you get to be a part of. We are not trying to push more kittens out the door.   If you are thinking of adopting a single kitten we want to prepare you for behaviors you will almost certainly see and have only the kittens’ best interest at heart, and your satisfaction as an adopter and pet parent. At Ruff Start Rescue part of our mission involves education and we would like to make sure you are making an informed decision and hopefully avoiding any issues that can come up. Here is a link to more information on Tarzan Syndrome (Single Kitten Syndrome) and another on the benefits of adopting kittens in pairs.

An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal.

Please check out our website, for more details and additional pictures on any of our animals!

All Ruff Start dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, dewormed, and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm prevention (dogs) as well as heartworm tested (dogs).

Ruff Start Rescue is a foster based rescue. Animals are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a facility where animals are kept.
