Hi, my name is Raven! I am your typical kitten that loooves playing! String toys, mousey toys, ping pong balls, you name it – I’ll chase it. My other favorite thing is to cuddle! I really love cuddling my foster mom and her kitty. Even though I am high-energy playing, my foster mom thinks I’m a very easy going girl. She can carry me every which way, give me head kisses, play with my feet, scratch my belly, and clip my nails. I just want to be around my people. I would do better in a home without little children, because I do tend to play a little rough, but we’re working on play manners. My foster mom thinks I’d do best in a home with another cat or someone looking to get two kitties. See, I can be a little skittish around strangers, and another kitty gives me comfort and confidence. I had a rough past, and we’re working on releasing those fears and learning what unconditional love is. My foster mom thinks I’m rather smart, so smart I could learn tricks and cues with the right training! If you pick me, I promise I will give you endless entertainment, comfort and cuddles, and daily joy. Will you be my forever cuddle buddy?
Personality: Cuddly, playful, intelligent
Litterbox Trained: Yes!
Loves: Cuddles, all toys (especially string/interactive toys), food, climbing/climbing tree, cat scratcher
Dislikes: Not playing! (can get a little restless and get into things if she doesn’t have opportunities to expend her energy); certain food – may have sensitivity to food which gives her loose stools, but this causes no issues with litterbox use and just requires a little extra focus on food type.
Talkativeness: Has the sweetest chirp when she’s investigating
We highly encourage adopting kittens in pairs for their emotional and behavioral well-being. It is an amazing experience to watch the lifelong bond that forms and that you get to be a part of. We are not trying to push more kittens out the door. If you are thinking of adopting a single kitten we want to prepare you for behaviors you will almost certainly see and have only the kittens’ best interest at heart, and your satisfaction as an adopter and pet parent. At Ruff Start Rescue part of our mission involves education and we would like to make sure you are making an informed decision and hopefully avoiding any issues that can come up. Here is a link to more information on Tarzan Syndrome (Single Kitten Syndrome) and another on the benefits of adopting kittens in pairs.
An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal.
Please check out our website, www.ruffstartrescue.org for more details and additional pictures on any of our animals!
