Hello, My name is Chuck. My foster parents call me Fred because they say my curiosity, adventurous personality, and my reddish-brown hair reminds them of one of the Weasley twins in Harry Potter.

Currently, I am living a laid-back suburban life with my foster parents. It is just he three of us. I am extremely alert so living in a less chaotic house has helped me gain a sense of safety and relaxation. My foster parents say I have some awesome qualities that will make my forever home so lucky to have me. They say I am loving, loyal, smart, intelligent, alert, attentive, and food-driven.

I am potty trained and kennel trained. I also sleep in the kennel all night like a champ. In the past few evenings, right around bedtime, I have gone to my kennel without any prompting. It feels safe there at night. But during the daytime, I would rather be lying next to your feet. I will even let you know when I need to go potty by standing by the door or letting out a quiet cry.

I have several things I love to do daily. I especially love going for walks and would benefit from an active family that will be sure to get me plenty of exercise! I like to explore and sniff everything around when I am walking. I am learning to walk with my foster dad instead of wanting to show him the way. Our walks are usually peaceful until I see another dog in the
street, and I get even more curious and like to verbalize my feelings loud and clear. I could use some training to help me relax and remain calm when I see other dogs. I'm a curious boy and would do best with a fenced in yard so I can explore without the worry of wandering off!

I am a mostly relaxed boy but also get bursts of energy every now and then. You can redirect my hyper-ness by giving me a Kong toy, I really like to chew on those! I also absolutely love food and treats! I will listen to your “sit” command to get treats. Oh, my soulful eyes will also convince you that I deserve more treats. My foster parents said I learned the “sit” command in three days, you could say that I'm a pretty smart guy! I have also learned to sit and wait until my foster Mom tells me to eat my meal. I like to play my own version of food scavenging game, but I am learning to be patient around food. Have I told you, meal time is my favorite?

I show a lot of interest in people when I see them. I jump to say hi, but I am redirectable. I haven’t been around little children yet and I may get too excited to play with the little ones, so at this time, I may be good friends only with respectful, older children.

I am searching for a family with strong leadership, love, kindness, patience, and acceptance of my curiosity. I like to be vocal about how I feel about other dogs so no shared walls unless your neighbors don’t mind my full volume soundtrack!

So, that’s me, Chuck. I am loving, loyal, smart, intelligent, alert, attentive, and food-driven. I am looking for a forever home who understands that my soul and personality are just as beautiful as my eyes! If you want to get to know me more, please get in touch with my foster Mom. She will tell you everything and beyond about me. I can’t wait to meet my forever family and shower them with all my love!
