Hi there! My name is Hash or, as foster mom likes to call me, Hash Brown. I'm a sweet puppy who is looking for an awesome forever family who will be patient enough to give me a little time to settle in at my new home. I was found on the streets of Houston, Texas, my foster mom thinks I must have had a pretty rough life before given a second chance. Because of this, I am still learning that humans can be kind and trustworthy. In the start, I was pretty nervous of everyone, but my foster mom in MN has been exposing me to people and new friends, and I'm doing so much better. I'm still a little timid at first, but give me 15 minutes and I'll be following you around and snuggling up on the couch with you!In my Texas foster home, I lived with two other dogs and a cat. Now in my foster home in MN, I live with two other big dogs and one teeny tiny one. I like the smallest one the best because he's quick and fun to chase & wrestle! I really need to be in a house with another dog to continue building my confidence and learning how to be a playful puppy. When I first got to my foster home, I was pretty nervous to come up to my foster mom. Once I saw that my foster siblings loved running up and getting lovin' from her, I realized I wanted to do that too! Then I came up tail waggin'. And I have figured out that I really like toys! I will collect several of them and create a pile on my bed so that I can test out all of the squeakers one by one! I also think it's fun to have you throw one so that I can run and pounce on it. I am getting braver each day and have really started exploring my surroundings in my foster home. When I first came to my foster mom I froze on a leash and didn't want to walk. Well, that took all of two days of going to work with her and now I'm SO much better. I still need a little coaxing every once in a while, but I'm doing better every day. I go outside happily to do my business and come in the house when I'm done. I am working on my crate training and it's going well. I did cry a lot in there in the start, but now it's my place to hang out, so it's not too bad!
Please note that Hash will do best with another friendly confident dog in the home (he prefers smaller than him)!
*The breed of a shelter puppy is often times a guess based on what traits the dog presents when they are brought into the shelter. We cannot guarantee the breed or size they will be full grown.*
