Hi! I’m George! As it turns out, I’m a girl cat named George. I got my name when an abominable snowman picked me up during a snowstorm, hugged me and petted me and gave me security and kept me warm. It turns out the abominable snowman is a really nice lady who named me after a Looney Tunes cartoon. She brought me into her garage and built me a house with some warm blankets before it got really cold in December. I’m so glad she did. I was pretty skinny and really hungry.
After she took me to the vet for some shots, I came in the house to meet the 3 resident cats. They are sort of fun to play with, but they are older than me so they don’t like to play kitten games quite as much as I do...but I am learning to play with them! They share their litterboxes with me, and we even eat together. I also like to hang out on the cat tree, especially when there is catnip sprinkled. I really like catnip!!
The nice lady keeps telling me that I am such a good kitty and will make some family very happy. I’m not sure what she means, but maybe you do...
From the moment I picked George up on the road that snowy day, she started purring and snuggling in for warmth. She is a really sweet kitten! The temperatures were heading sub-zero, so I set her up in the garage with blankets, food, water, and a litter box. She has consistently used the litterbox. Once she came in the house, she has slowly acclimated to the 3 resident cats, and consistent litter box use continues. There was hissing at first - mostly from George, who would head to the garage for some quiet time when she was anxious. She mostly enjoys laying in the cat tree by the window, looking outside, playing and sleeping. She enjoys “String,” “Red Dot” and exploring; and she even comes running when she hears her name (George, aka Georgie). As far as I know, she has not yet met kids or dogs (other than in the waiting room at the vet, where she was undisturbed by a couple big dogs barking); she is so mellow that I suspect she would adjust to either.
