Hi! I am Adolfo!
My foster parents love to say my name with an Italian accent, even though I am from Puerto Rico!
I was named after the park I was found at in San Juan, Puerto Rico. I was found with another Chi and she got rescued and flown to MN with me and she is even in my foster home with me!
I am a really cuddly, sweet and an easy going Chi. My favorite things to do are cuddle and lay by the warm fireplace.
My foster parents have a dog sling that I love to be carried around in. At night, I am now sleeping in bed with my foster parents or their teenager. I love to burrow under the covers and cuddle. I am an expert cuddler! I also like to give kisses and my ears are really adorable!
I am overall very quiet but I will bark if I am feeling left out or if another big dog gets too roudy close to me. I love special treats and canned wet food. I am a small guy with little insulation, so I like wearing warm sweaters and jackets in this cold weather! I am not fully potty trained yet, so I wear a belly wrap sometimes when I am around the house. After roaming the stress of Puerto Rico my entire life, potty training is really new to me! I do go potty outside everytime I am let out but I am still having some accidents. The good news is my bladder is really small, so my accidents are really small...that goes for #2's as well!
I am getting my teeth fully cleaned by the Ruff Start Veteranarians, so I am looking forward to fresh breath when I meet my forever people.
I would be perfect for a person, couple or family, who wants a really cuddly lap dog and a companion. I would love to be held by you often and be your best friend. I do not mind other quiet and calm dogs at all and I live with dogs of all sizes in my foster home.
An overall quiet environment would be great for me, so I can continue to enjoy my new rescued life while I adjust. I would do great in many different home settings like an apartment, townhome or family home
