A princess on the search for true love Aurora is the very sweetest girl and is searching for the lucky family out there that will get to share their life with her. Her life has been a little tough lately, she ended up at a local shelter, and then transferred to another local shelter, but she was very stressed out by shelter life. Aurora also got sick, and with that and the stress she lost a lot of weight. But everyone that met her saw how sweet and good she was, so they spread the word and before she ran out of time at the shelter Aurora got fostered by our family. And we are the lucky ones! She is such a joy to have around! We found out she has a lovely, sweet, cuddly personality. Aurora also has the softest head, it is like petting plush velvet! She has some tummy issues but always tells us when she needs to go out, and the vets are working to have that feeling better soon. Aurora is super smart and (unlike some princesses) loves to please people! Combined with her athleticism she could be a great agility dog! (Though her love of people combined with her athleticism means she needs a tall fence if unsupervised). Aurora already has a bit of basic obedience and knows how to sit, lay down, spin, and shake! She does need occasional reminders not to pull when walking but she knows how to walk nicely when she practices. Sometimes Aurora gets so excited about playing with her people that she jumps up, but she knows “off” and stops when asked. She loves a snuggle on the couch or a nap in the sun more than most, but she also loves to play with her doggo friends, especially her foster brother. Of course, being a princess means you have to be sure your friends are up to scratch, so she needs a little time to judge for herself with slow intros to other dogs as, though she is dog friendly, she has limited socialization skills and is still learning. She would do best in a home with more laid-back dogs. She prefers to meet new friends very slowly and in a calm, controlled environment. She has been very excited about the cats she has seen, so cats may not appreciate her sharing their castle. Aurora has only met a few older kids since she has been with us, but she has loved them. Little kids may not be up to her enthusiastic love and play style. She likes to be with people as much as possible but does crate very nicely when needed. Aurora is a little shy when she meets new people, especially at home, but warms up quickly, especially if the nice people have a treat for her! Then she is as sweet and loving to them as she is to her family. And she can't wait to find her very own family. Are you the one that can make this princess's happily ever after dream come true?
