Introducing Aurora! Aurora is the very sweetest girl and is searching for the lucky family out there that will get to share their life with her. Her life has been a little tough lately, she ended up at a local shelter, and then transferred to another local shelter, but she was very stressed out by shelter life. Aurora also got sick, and with that and the stress she lost a lot of weight. But everyone that met her saw how sweet and good she was, so they spread the word and before she ran out of time at the shelter Aurora got fostered by our family. And we are the lucky ones! She is such a joy to have around! We found out she has a lovely, sweet, cuddly personality. Aurora also has the softest head, it is like petting plush velvet! She has some tummy issues but still always tries to tell us when she needs to go out, but the vets should have that feeling better soon. She already has a bit of basic obedience. Aurora knows how to sit, lay down, and shake! She walks quite well on a leash but does need occasional reminders not to pull. Sometimes Aurora gets so excited about playing with her people that she jumps up, but she knows “off” and stops when asked. Aurora’s doing well with her doggie foster brothers and sister. She needs slow intros to other dogs as, though she is dog friendly, she has limited socialization skills and is still learning. She would do best in a home with more laid-back dogs. Aurora has only met a few older kids since she has been with us, but she has loved them. Little kids may not be up to her enthusiastic love and play style. She is loving being part of the family and her very favorite thing is cuddling on the couch. She likes to be with people as much as possible but does crate very nicely when needed. Aurora is a little shy when she meets new people, especially at home, but warms up quickly, especially if the nice people have a treat for her! Then she is as sweet and loving to them as she is to her family. Aurora had a visit with Santa recently and asked him to please send her a new family with the new year – did he send you?
